The Casström Lars Fält Slipjoint 19004 is a bushcraft pocket knife, designed in cooperation with Lars Fält. This Swedish survival expert is a real hero for many enthusiasts. His books are used all over Sweden: in schools, but also during the training of soldiers. This emphasizes how widely recognised his expertise is. This Casström Lars Fält Slipjoint is a pocket knife that was developed in cooperation with him.

Experts immediately recognize the lines of the fixed knife that Fält developed in cooperation with Casström. The general lines of the design are very similar. The size, however, is a lot more modest. With a 7.1 cm blade you will have enough for small wood cutting tasks. The blade has a scandi grind which makes it great for wood work. You do, however, need to keep in mind that is still a pocket knife. It is not made for the more demanding tasks or batoning. Casström produces amazing fixed knives for this purpose.

You open this knife with two hands and a slipjoint prevents accidental closing. The knife doesn't have a real lock, making it legal in many places in Europe. The blade is made from stainless Böhler N690 steel. A type of steel that is easy to sharpen. The handle is made from Curly Birch. This is birch root wood from Scandinavia. As you are used to from Casström, the handle is very ergonomically shaped. It nicely fills your hand and offers enough curves and grip to be able to use it for a long period of time.

This pocket knife does justice to Lars Fält's design and outdoor philosophy. And all of that for a very good price. You rarely find similar, in Europe produced, knives for such a price. We also noticed that this is a user's knife. A little leeway on the blade or a slightly sharp steel liner is simply a part of the package.
